Sherrilyn Mills has been involved in Workers’ Compensation, Injury Management, Vocational Rehabilitation and Occupational Health and Safety since 1997. Sherrilyn has a Master’s in Occupational Health and Safety, Bachelor of Commerce with a Double Major in Human Resource Management and Industrial Relations and has recently finalised her PHD at Curtin University. Sherrilyn’s research investigated individual, organisational and psychosocial factors that prevent return to work and result in long duration workers’ compensation claims. Sherrilyn has predominantly worked as a consultant with a broad spectrum of businesses including government, oil and gas, mining, transport, construction, labour hire, health and education and general industry. As a consultant to a variety of national companies, her services predominantly included auditing, development and implementation of management system, workers’ compensation and injury management advice and the implementation of corporate safety programs to facilitate cultural change



Michelle DeGalt-Rohlf

Michelle DeGalt-Rohlf is a qualified Safety and Health professional with extensive experience in safety and risk management since 2003, complimented by 6 years managing a team overseeing construction projects for Curtin University. Michelle has a broad-ranging and extensive knowledge of national legislative requirements as well as the ability to interpret and implement organisational policy and procedures and has worked extensively with the construction industry for the past 3 years working with both Commercial and Residential builders. Michelle currently sits on the Construction Industry Safety Advisory Committee whose membership includes the WorkSafe Commissioner, Union Representatives, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Housing Industry Association assisting with reviews of Western Australian Codes of Practice, Guidance Materials and broader discussions in relation to construction safety.



Associate Professor Janis Jansz

Senior Advisor and Consultant

Dr Janis Jansz is an educational and industry leader in work integrated learning for workplace safety and health. Janis holds a Diploma in Teaching from Edith Cowan University, a Bachelor of Applied Science, a Graduate Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety and a Master Public Health from Curtin University and a PhD in Business from Edith Cowan University. With a strong academic background in health and safety, Janis still is involved in supervising research projects in the mining industry, oil and gas, healthcare industry and other industries. Janis has worked as an international occupational safety and health educator for 24 years and, by invitation, has taught at universities and research institutes in Australia and extensively internationally. Janis’ central teaching interests relate to occupational safety and health management, ergonomics, injury management and workers’ compensation in all industries. Janis was the first Female President of the Safety Institute of Australia (Western Australian Division) and the Inaugural Director of World Safety Organisation National Office for Australia.



Sonia Donegan

Office Manager and Wellbeing Consultant

Sonia has been working in the Healthforce Group office for 8 years. She started with general office admin duties and has developed a good sense in and outside the office. Sonia currently manages HFG finances, payroll and our HFG office, including staff. She also backs-up the Injury Management Consultants, when needed and manages client files. Sonia has a background in Personal and Group physical training, established from her sporting career. Sonia has a special interest in Wellness and Health of individuals, from nutrition, physical movement, and mindset health. She is always expanding her knowledge base. Sonia has great communication skills and the ability to problem solve quickly and efficiently. Along with her caring nature she can get the best out of others and herself.



Michelle Brown

Injury Management Consultant

Michelle Brown has been involved in Workers’ Compensation, Injury Management since 1985. Michelle has a Diploma in Injury Management. Michelle has worked in diverse roles from Insurance, Broking and working within the Airline and Power Industries, including the Oil and Gas Industry.
Michelle first worked in the insurance industry for 13 years before moving to employer-based work implementing their injury management and return to work process. Michelle also has experience as a law clerk where she worked for a prominent personal injury lawyer. Michelle has also been part of a safety committee and often attended safety meeting as a part of her role whilst working in the Power industry.



Claire Ortlepp

Exercise Scientist

Administration and Consultant

Claire has recently joined the team at HealthForce Group, and she brings a fresh versatile element to the business. She is efficient in administration, client file management and creating new documentation to help support the Injury Management team. Claire’s background in Exercise, Sports and Rehabilitation – Exercise Science allows her to link the information together and focus on the prescription and delivery of exercise interventions, especially in the area of returning workers safely back to work. Her added knowledge in human physiology, biomechanics, and nutrition, helps to strengthen Healthforce Groups ability to service their client in the Health and Wellness area. Claire has a keen interest in sport, with experience ranging from social to elite level sport.
